One of Chiang Mai’s most impressive ancient temples, located in the heart of the walled Old City, and its towering partially-ruined 14th-century pagoda is a genuinely wow moment for kids. Admission is 40 THB (roughly $1.10 USD) for adults; children under 12 typically enter free. The temple grounds are spacious and mostly flat with paved paths making strollers workable on the main areas, though some sections have steps. Visitors must dress modestly — shoulders and knees covered — and sarong wraps are available to borrow at the entrance. Arrive before 9:30am to beat tour group crowds and to avoid the intense midday heat; there is some tree shade but direct sun exposure is significant between 10am and 3pm.
