Ferry from the Harbourfront Jack Layton Terminal costs ~$9.37 CAD adults / $4.43 CAD children (2-14) return — pay online to avoid the queue. Centre Island has Centreville Amusement Park with rides and a free petting zoo which is a huge toddler hit. The islands are completely car-free, flat, and stroller-friendly with excellent beach access along the south shore. Pack a full picnic as food vendor prices are high; a half-day or full-day visit makes the ferry cost very worthwhile.
