Admission is completely free and the park is open daily from 7am to 10pm in warmer months. Skip the southern end near Hudson Yards on busy summer weekends as it gets extremely crowded. Do not miss the 10th Avenue Square overlook or the wildflower plantings along the northern stretches near 30th Street. The path is fully paved and stroller-friendly end to end with elevator access at multiple entry points. Grab snacks from the food kiosks along the route and plan for a 45-minute to 1-hour leisurely walk with kids.
