Free parking in the small NPS lot; arrive before 9am on weekends as it fills fast and there is no overflow. The paved lower trail to the Tropical Terrace ruins (2.2 miles round trip) is flat, shaded, and stroller-friendly — one of the most family-accessible hikes in Malibu. Kids love exploring the crumbling stone ruins and the small waterfall at the trail’s end. Bring plenty of water; no facilities beyond the trailhead restrooms.
