The Government Gardens are free to explore and offer wide flat paths, ornamental gardens, lawn bowling greens, and the iconic Tudor-style Bath House building with steaming thermal features in the background. The croquet lawns are a favourite spot for toddlers to run freely in a safe, grassy open space. Public toilets are located in the main Bath House building. Parking is free and plentiful along Queens Drive. The lakefront path adjacent to the gardens extends easily for a longer stroller walk with views over Lake Rotorua.
