The beach is free to access and open year-round; the official swimming season runs from April to October when lifeguards are on duty. Get there before 10am on weekends to snag a spot as it fills up extremely fast. The changing rooms and showers are clean and well-maintained which is a huge win for families with sandy kids. The Repulse Bay Arcade nearby has cafes and restaurants for a post-beach lunch without needing to travel far. Strollers work fine on the promenade but leave them at the beach edge as the sand itself is soft and harder to push through.
