Admission is PHP 60 (roughly USD 1) per person for the guided sanctuary walk — this is the only place in the Philippines where tarsiers live in a semi-wild protected forest rather than small cages, an important ethical distinction to explain to older kids. Tarsiers are the world’s smallest primates and are extremely sensitive to noise, flash photography, and touch; guides are strict about maintaining silence and distance, which is great practice for kids but may be challenging for toddlers who cannot stay quiet. The walking trail is shaded, unpaved, and moderately uneven making strollers impractical; baby carriers are the better option for families with infants. Open daily 8am to 5pm; mornings are less crowded and the tarsiers tend to be more visible before midday tour buses arrive from Tagbilaran. Allow 30-45 minutes for the full loop and combine with the Chocolate Hills on the same day as both are inland Bohol highlights.
