Costa Rica’s largest urban park is a fantastic free morning option with paved paths, open lawns, a lagoon, and multiple playgrounds scattered around the 72-acre grounds. Bring a carrier or stroller for toddlers if your group plans to explore the full loop. Weekend mornings are lively with local families playing soccer and cycling, which adds a great cultural atmosphere. Public restrooms exist but bring your own wipes as conditions vary. There is a small sports museum on the grounds worth a 20-minute stop at no extra charge.
