The site is about 50 km from Cusco (roughly 1.5 hours by road) so plan it as a half-day excursion, ideally combined with the Maras salt mines nearby. Altitude here is around 11,500 feet — bring snacks, water, and sun protection as the Sacred Valley sun is intense even on cool days. The path down into the terraces is walkable for kids 5 and up but is not stroller-accessible; wear sturdy shoes.
