Lake Brienz is famous for its vivid turquoise-blue glacial water and the public beach at Brienz village is free to use with a small pebble beach suited for paddling and stone-skipping. Water temperatures reach a swimmable 18-20 Celsius in July and August; outside those months it is strictly a scenic walk. The flat lakeside path is fully stroller-friendly and stretches for several kilometers. Beware: the pebble surface at the beach edge is slippery when wet and requires grip-sole shoes for toddlers. The Brienz-Interlaken boat service (~15 CHF / $16.50 USD per adult one-way) lets you make this a one-way walk and return by boat.
