Barcelona’s iconic covered market is free to enter; fresh fruit cups at stalls cost ~€1–3. Go early (before 9am) to beat intense tourist crowds — by 11am it is very congested. Kids are dazzled by colorful displays of tropical fruit, candy, and hanging jamón. Note that stroller navigation inside is difficult due to narrow passageways.
