Toronto’s largest park is completely free — highlights include the zoo (free!), the hillside natural playground at Hangingstone, and the splash pad in summer. The free zoo has bison, peacocks, llamas, and deer that delight toddlers. Cherry blossom season (late April) is spectacular but extremely busy — arrive by 7:30am for any hope of parking. The park is directly on the subway (High Park station), making it easy to visit without a car.
