El Castillo is a genuine medieval-style castle built in 1930 set in manicured French and English gardens in the upscale El Poblado neighborhood — the closest thing to a fairytale castle experience in Colombia. Admission is approximately COP 25,000-30,000 (roughly USD 6-7.50) per adult and COP 15,000 (roughly USD 3.75) for children; guided tours in Spanish and English run on a schedule posted at the front gate. Open Tuesday through Sunday 9am to 5pm; the grounds close in rain so check the weather before making it a primary plan. Kids who love history, architecture, or princess and castle themes will be genuinely enchanted; the interior rooms contain European antiques, tapestries, and decorative arts that resonate with older children. Parking is available on site and Uber or taxis from El Poblado center take about 10 minutes.
