The riverside paved path through Banff townsite is completely flat, stroller-friendly, and one of the prettiest easy walks in the Rockies — keep an eye out for elk grazing on the banks. The trail connects Central Park, the Bow Falls viewpoint, and the Fairmont Banff Springs Hotel grounds for a lovely 4-5km loop. Public washrooms at Central Park and near Bow Falls trailhead. Elk sightings are common especially at dawn and dusk — maintain a 30m distance.
