General admission is around $22 for adults and $17 for children ages 2-12; parking is available on-site for a small fee. The zoo spans 58 acres in the Uptown neighborhood and houses white alligators, white tigers, and a Louisiana Swamp exhibit that kids consistently love. Plan for 3-4 hours minimum; the grounds are large and can be tiring for very young toddlers, making this better suited for ages 4 and up. Strollers and wagons are available for rent at the entrance if you did not bring your own. Go on a weekday if possible — summer weekends are extremely hot and crowded, and canopy shade only covers certain sections of the zoo.
