Arizona’s only real ski resort, open typically mid-December through March. Lift tickets ~$60–$90/day for adults with discounted kids’ rates; ski school for ages 4+. The snow play area requires no equipment and is a huge hit with toddlers. In summer, the scenic chairlift to 11,500 ft operates on weekends (~$20/person) with jaw-dropping views — temperatures up top can be 20°F cooler than Flagstaff’s already-mild 70s. At 7,000–12,600 ft, dress in layers year-round; even July afternoons turn chilly fast. Book ski lessons well in advance for holiday weekends.
